Q1 Review from QC’s President, Randy Strutz
Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC®) celebrates another quarter of success during this prolonged “Great Freight Recession” due to diversification of revenue streams and the strength of the many transportation solutions available to its customers. As the world watches the rising price of oil and as the government resumes enforcement of regulations, the industry continues to feel the economic impact.
QC has unique advantages to tackle the ever-evolving state of trucking. The company’s scale creates stability. Nationwide resources, steadfast focus on safety and compliance, and a vast network of solutions enable QC to adapt to market headwinds.
This quarter alone, QC launched several new locations, including a new Quality Wash Solutions (QWS™) location in Rahway, NJ, and two new locations for its depot business, Quality Depot Solutions (QDS™), in Houston, TX and Charleston, SC. These QDS locations are an excellent example of the scale of solutions available to customers, including:
- Full trucking support through Quality Carriers;
- Integrated repair options through Quality Repair Solutions;
- Transit to and from Mexico through Quality Mexico Solutions;
- Interior and exterior tank cleaning through Quality Wash Solutions; and
- Intermodal expertise through QC Intermodal.
By bringing together resources from each of its brands, QC provides industry-leading solutions to markets across North America. The QDS business is rapidly expanding, with several more site launches planned in 2026.
QC’s commitment to excellence has not gone unnoticed. This quarter, Quality Carriers was named Unilever’s Bulk Carrier of the Year for 2025. During the award presentation, Unilever made several notes about Quality Carriers’ superior performance, zero safety incidents, and competitive pricing.
Additionally, Quality Carriers was named a Top Fleet to Watch in 2026 by CarriersEdge. This award was given based on driver compensation, benefits, HR strategies, operations, professional development, and work/life balance.
These awards show that Quality Carriers is committed to excellence at every level of its operations. Drivers, terminal teams, repair shops, tank washes, depots, and corporate staff work together to provide exceptional service to customers and create long-term relationships with industry partners.
In early February, QC held its inaugural customer conference, QC Solutions. Leaders from across the logistics industry gathered to review the current state of the transportation industry and learn about all of QC’s offerings. QC is building future events based on the positive feedback received from attendees.
I am incredibly proud of what our team is able to accomplish, especially during seasons of uncertainty. I look forward to continuing to grow together, and am excited to see our continued success throughout 2026.
